Miss Mary Bobo's, Memaw's, and Memorial Day
We began this long weekend in Lynchburg, TN at Miss Mary Bobo's with some friends from Sunday School. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House.
Miss Mary Bobo bought this beautiful home in the early 1900's and converted the once boarding house into a restaurant. Each boarding room has been converted into a beautiful private dining room. Each room also came with a hostess who shared the history of Miss Mary Bobo's and of Lynchburg, TN (Home of Jack Daniels).

After Lunch Luke, Miller, and I headed to Manchester, TN to visit my Memaw.
Sunday afternoon Marybeth came over to watch Miller while Luke and I worked in the yard. We are very fortunate to have VERY mature landscaping that has been well maintained over the years. We spent the afternoon pruning some of the trees and bushes. It was alot of work but we enjoyed working together.
Since we had such a busy weekend and since Contractors don't get alot of time off we decided to have a semi lazy Monday. We enjoyed some quiltiy family time sitting on the couch doing nothing. I think it is only healthy to have days like that. After watching Scrubs disc one, season one we enjoyed grilled wings at my parents house. Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful dinner.

2 Weeks and Counting...YEAH!!
WE ARE PACIFIER FREE ... 2 WEEKS AND COUNTING!!!
I am VERY PROUD considering his pacifier was part of his DAILY wardrobe. To my surprise he is taking it very well and is actually sleeping better. He is no longer crying out several times during the night for me to reinsert the passie.
I guess you can say we are all sleeping a little better at night.

A Busy Weekend
This weekend started in Auburn with Addie's graduation. It was so great to be back in Auburn even if it was only for 6 hours. When in Auburn Miller got to visit with his great grand daddy and Jean Jean.
6 Month Check up...
Miller had his 6 month check up today. He weighed in at 18 lbs, 12 oz and 29 3/4 inces long. He was in the 50th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight and his head was in the 95th percentile and it is still growing. He did have to have shots but he took it very well. He barely cried and was asleep before we made it home.
On another note Miller tried Sweet Potatoes last night and he LOVED them. I was not surprised because he love to eat.

6 Months Old
Miller is 6 months old today!! Wow... I can't believe he is half a year old. He has changed SO much. He has especially changed over this last month. We go to the doctor tomorrow for his 6 month check up and I am anxious to find out how much he weighs.
In the last month Miller has started eating some veggies. He has eaten green beans, peas, and tonight we are going to try some sweet potatoes. He is a great eater and has gotten very curious about table food. He has also started eating puffs and drinking apple juice from a sippy cup.
Miller has started reaching for items and in the last week he has learned to through his weight toward an item he wants. Not only does he want to grab EVERYTHING but he also wants to see everything. He gets destracted really easily and does not want to miss a thing. He loves to stand more than ever and can sit on his own very well.
We are passie free one week and counting...YEAH!! He has taken it very well. He is also sleeping alot better. He goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 pm and I don't hear a peep from him until around 7:00-8:00 am.
Miller has become very aware of his surrounds and really begun to show his personality over the last month.
We have enjoyed watching him grow and develop. We are so amazed by God's creation and thank him daily for blessing our lives with such a beautiful, healthy boy.

Best Buddies...
We get asked all the time how Kaylee (our almost 2 year old black lab) acts around Miller. From day one Kaylee has been great with Miller. It has recently become evident that they already love each other and that one day they are going to be best buddies. In the above picture you can see Kaylee giving Miller a couple of Kaylee Kisses.
Our Cookie Monster
Miller has become a little cookie monster lately. He loves to eat these bitter biscuits while I cook dinner. They have helped him to develop hand, eye, and mouth cordination. Of course sometimes the biscuits end up in this mouth only after being rubbed across his nose, and checks. He is too cute to watch.
